Inclement Weather & Cancellation Policy

Last Updated: Fall 2026

Being lifelong residents of Western Massachusetts, we know how unpredictable Pioneer Valley winters can be! The safety of our passengers and our drivers is our absolute highest priority.

📌 How We Handle Snow & Ice Closures

If a winter storm hits our region and local school districts (such as Springfield Public Schools or Ludlow Public Schools) close or delay due to hazardous road conditions, our schedule updates automatically:

  • Automatic Rescheduling: We will text or call you first thing in the morning to safely move your ride or shopping errand to the next clear day.

  • Essential Medical Trips: For critical appointments that cannot be missed (such as dialysis), we will monitor city plowing updates closely and coordinate directly with you or your clinic.

❌ Our No-Penalty Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans change when the weather gets bad. We promise to never penalize you for staying safe:

  • Doctor Cancellations: If your medical provider or physical therapy office closes due to a storm, just let us know. There is zero penalty or fee for canceling.

  • Driveway Safety: If you wake up and feel your driveway or stairs are unsafe for travel, please text or call us as soon as possible. Your comfort and safety come first.

🏡 A Quick Favor We Ask of Our Clients

For accompanied shopping and doctor trips, we kindly ask that your walkways, ramps, and driveways be reasonably cleared of snow and salted before our arrival. This allows us to safely walk arm-in-arm to assist you from your front door directly into our vehicle.
